Dr. Guy Ratu, a General Practitioner with Extended Role (GPwER) in Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Aesthetics, has over 8 years of experience in general practice. Based in Birmingham, Solihull, and the Black Country, he sees private patients at The Vesey Private Hospital in Sutton Coldfield and the Modality Treatment Centre in Edgbaston. Dr. Ratu earned his medical degree from Queen Mary, University of London in 2014, along with a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Experimental Pathology from UCL Institute of Ophthalmology in conjunction with Moorfields Eye Hospital. He completed his GP training in 2016 and became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2020. He also holds Postgraduate Diplomas in Ophthalmology and Dermatology with Distinction from the University of Plymouth.

Dr Ratu is the Crowd Doctor at the West Bromwich Albion Football Club providing acute pre-hospital care and pitch side management to fans and audience and staff members alike.
Dr Ratu has combined his passions for healthcare and sports with providing urgent pre-hospital care for home matches at the historic West Bromwich Albion Football Club. Dr Ratu has completed The Generic Course for Sports Events and Mass Gathering Crowd Doctor/Practitioner course with the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
